I could still remember the day I called up my ex colleague, Monica to see if there’s any job opportunities in PTO®. The next minute I knew, I was part of the PTO® family. Then, I wasn’t sure about my hasty decision to join the insurance industry as I just wanted to get out of my previous job as soon as I can. I have totally no clue as to how the business operates and how to go about acquiring customers.
Luckily, PTO® has a great system for us to follow, especially for the newcomers. During the first few months, we were given training by the managers before we were put in the field. As of us know, in the initial of this career, most of the people would approach their family or friends first for businesses. However, in PTO® we believe in doing beyond our natural market. Therefore, there are organized sales activities to ensure that we have greater exposure to the cold market, hence gaining more experience on how to deal with them and ultimately have cases from them. PTO® also emphasized strongly on family culture where everyone works hand in hand just like a family. Unlike other company which stresses on sales targets. Over here, it always constantly reminds us the reason to work hard, which is for our family.
I’m glad that I persevered on till now 2 years in the business, though the start was really difficult. To me, I feel that this career is all about hard work and determination. As long as you are determined to be successful and with your heart and soul, you will be what you want to be.
